About me

Martina Hittinger, Yoga Teacher, born in 1968

Yoga

After several years of Yoga practice I qualified as a "Yoga teacher" (Yoga Siromani) at the "International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre" in Neyyar Dam, India in 2004.

I have kept advancing my knowledge in theory & practise attending trainings & workshops of different lecturers e.g. Dr. Ronald Steiner, Doug Keller, Rod Stryker, etc.

After attending several lectures of Dr. Ronald Steiner and his AYI® method I became more and more interested and resolved to attain an aditional yoga teacher training.

In July 2017 I graduated as "Inspired Yoga teacher AYI®"

In March 2020 I qualified as "Advanced Yoga teacher AYI®"

In plan is the graduation for the "Expert Yoga teacher AYI®" which will be completed in 2023.

The AYI® method unites the traditional system of Ashtanga Yoga with aspects of modern medicine, movement theory & psychology. It combines traditional Ashtanga Yoga & progressive science for a mindful & holistic focus on vitality. With the AYI® method you create a very personal, tailor made practice depending on your competence and individual constitution with individual modifications of the practice & whole sequences.

Massage

I was educated in "Thai Massage" and "Chinese traditional Foot Massage" at one of the best known traditional schools for Thai Massage and Foot Massage, located at the Wat Pho Temple in Bangkok. Aditionally I took a course for Thai Massage in Chiang Mai in northern Thailand at the world wide prestigious school "Sunshine Network" in association with the "International Society of Thai Yoga Massage".

At the same school I took the course for "Chavutti Thirummal Massage", a very special Oil-Foot-Massage from south India.

I further trained Ayurveda and ayurvedic massages at the "Samadhi Ayurveda Health School" in Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka.

Efrat Murciano from Israel taught me in Shiatsu and Chinese Medicine.
